Underhill Hub has been developed as a community venue, aiming to offer something for everyone. As part of this we organise or hire out the Hub so that a regular programme of activities is on each week, on top of which we organise one-off events which we think people will enjoy. And the Hub and/or the meeting room can be hired too.

Regular Activity Programme
To be able to host the mix of things people want at Underhill Hub, our café is not open on a Monday. Instead we are hosting a programme of activities, which we are always looking to expand. Up until the end of April, we also held activities on a Tuesday, but these have now finished. Our current programme is:

Baby Love
Organised by Claire, Baby Love aims to support parents and help them to build their social network whilst holistically developing little ones through fun activities. It’s a great way to give both parent and child the best start possible.

LGBTQ+ Drop In
A relaxed opportunity to meet and chat over refreshments with people within the LGBTQ+ community locally, organised by PCSO Patrick Dunbar.
Just turn up.

Organised Events
Our team is keen to organise special events which the community will enjoy. In October 2023, we held two hugely successful Halloween kids’ days, with lots of arts and craft activities, face painting, a pumpkin trail and a prize for the best fancy dress.
For Xmas, the Hub was decked out to give that festive feel and our menu added to with Christmas treats like mince pies, Christmas log, festive fillings for paninis or jacket potatoes and warming mulled wine to wash it down.
During 2024, we are planning a full programme of events, focused on notable dates or linked to things of interest to our community. Keep an eye out for events linked to arts & craft, sporting occasions and wine!
And you if you have ideas for events you would like to see hosted in the Hub, do send them through to the team or chat to one of our friendly staff about it next time you visit.
Hire the Hub
Our goal is to be at the heart of the community, so Underhill Hub is also available to hire for private occasions and special event celebrations.
The Hub is equipped to offer a full bar and catering service, so if you have a special occasion coming up and would like to find out about hiring the Hub café space, please do get in touch.

Hire the Meeting Room
As well as being able to hire the main Hub, you can also hire our private and reasonably priced meeting room. Equipped with a large wall-mounted screen, a large table and comfortable chairs, it is a perfect venue for small groups to get together.
And like the rest of the Hub, it has excellent wifi.
You can take advantage of our on-site catering to help your meeting along. This can be done on a pay as you go basis or a pre-arranged package, tailored to suit your needs.
